Candle Care
For an optimal burn:
Trim the wick
Before each lighting, trim the wick to 1/4" using scissors or a wick trimmer.
Let it burn
Every time you light your candle, burn until the wax pool melts to the edges, about 1 hour per inch in diameter. This sets the ‘memory’ of the wax and prevents tunneling.
To prevent dripping, do not burn near drafts, airflow, or fans.
For the pillar candle: once extinguished, the upper wall of the candle will be warm. Gently “hug” the edges inward towards the wax pool to help the candle burn evenly.
Safety first
Burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
Always burn within sight and away from combustibles.
Do not leave a burning candle within the reach of children or pets.
bloom
You may notice your candle develop a matte white film, called a “bloom”. This naturally occurs with beeswax and is safe to burn or can be removed with a soft, dry cloth.
